Bartłomiej Wezneris a soloist, a chamber musician, a teacher and a culture manager.

He is a winner of chamber music competitions: St Martin’s Chamber Music Competition (2011, London – First Prize), 16 Premio Trio di Trieste (2015, Triest – Third Prize), Academie de Musique de Lausanne (2015, Lausanne  - awarded), 50th International Vocal Competition ‘s-Hertogenbosch (2014, Netherlands – awarded in the Lied Duo category) as well as 17th Kiejstut Bacewicz International Chamber Music Competition  in  Łódź (2010 – Third Award). He has won awards for the best pianist during vocal competitions in Warsaw (2007), Katowice (2008), Łódź (2009), Sopot (2010) and in Częstochowa (2013). As a soloist he has won a special award at the 6th I.J. Paderewski International Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz (2004) as well as a distinction at the 15th L. Janáček International Piano Competition in Brno (2008, Czech Republic). 

He was born in 1981 in Nysa. He graduated from the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz in the piano class of professor Ewa Pobłocka (2006). In the period 2002-2004 he was also a student of professor Jerzy Sulikowski. He studied at the same time harpsichord at professor Urszula Bartkiewicz’s. In 2013 he received a doctor degree in music arts and in 2014 he started working at the Feliks Nowowiejski Academy of Music in Bydgoszcz as a lecturer and a head of the Interdepartmental Institute of Piano Chamber Music. He is also the Chancellor of the Paderewski Piano Academy in Bydgoszcz and the art director of the “Muzyka w Willi Blumwego” Festival.

The performance aesthetics of Bartłomiej Wezner has been largely influenced by master classes with artists like Maestro Janoš Starker, Stephen Kovacevich, Raphaël Pidoux (Wanderer Trio), Ewa Podleś, Kevin Kenner, Maja Nosowska, Marcin Sikorski. He performs concerts with outstanding musicians including: Vadim Brodski, Maria Machowska, Joanna Kreft, Agata Schmidt, Ingrida Gápova.

He is a pianist and a founder of emsembles: BMF Piano Trio, Herbert Piano Trio, Surrealistic Five. Together with his father and siblings he creates Wezner Ensemble unique family quarter. As a harpsichordist he cooperates with Capella Bydgostiensis chamber music orchestra and illo tempore early music ensemble. He has performed in Poland, Belgium, Czech Republic, Sweden, Greece, Germany, Serbia and Montenegro, Switzerland, Great Britain, Italy and the United States. As a soloist he has performed, among others, with Capella Bydgostiensis, the Toruń Symphony Orchestra, Opole Philharmonic, Lviv National Chmaber Music Orchestra, Chamber Music Academy or Bydoszcz philharmonics.

He has been a tutor pianist during the Maestra Teresa Żylis_Gara Master Vocal Course in the Radziejowice palace (2008), „Młodzi Śpiewacy Małopolski” [Małopolska Young Singers] workshops of prof. Helena Łazarska and Zofia Kilanowicz in Nowy Sącz (2012), Master Course of Thomas Hampson in the  Gorzów Philharmonic (2014) and an official pianist at the 14th, 15th and 16th Ada Sari International Vocal Art Competition in Nowy Sącz (2011, 2013, 2015), 9th Stanisław Moniuszko International Vocal Competition in Warsaw (2016) as well as the Karol Szymanowski International Competition in Katowice (2018).

He has received scholarships: Piano Texas Festival and Academy in Fort Worth (2006, the USA), International Dartington Summer School (2012, Great Britain), Beethoven Haus in Bonn (2015, Germany) as well as the  Marshall of the Kujawsko – Pomorskie Region Scholarship (2011, 2012, 2017) and the Minister of Culture “Młoda Polska” [Young Poland]  (2012).

The pianist finds himself perfectly in both classical repertoire and music of the 20th and 21st century. he has performed preview and premiere compositions of, among others:

Hanna Kulenta, Zbigniew Bargielski, Roxanna Panufnik, Marcin Masecki, Michał Dobrzyński. His conmcerts have been broacasted by stations like Polskie Radio [Poish Radio] „Dwójka” or RTS Suiss. he has recorder for CdAccord, Dux, Fonoteus and Acte Préalable.
